Black Gold: A Film about Coffee and Trade
Part of the 2009 KSU Season for Nonviolence
Thursday, March 26 at 7 PM, Hemisphere Room, Hale Library

Follow Tadesse Meskela, General Manager of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union in Ethiopia,as he searches for a fair trade market for over 74,000 coffee farmers in the cooperative.

Summer Lewis, K-State graduate and former Equal Exchange (fair trade coffee, tea, and chocolate worker-owned cooperative) employee will introduce the film.

Fair trade tea and chocolate will be served!

Chiropractic Tips and Tactics

   Important Update !!!

Dr. Shannon Simmons--the only Certified Kinesio Taping Practicioner in Manhattan--will teach two one hour classes titled "Chiropractic Tips and Tactics" this Thursday, March 19 starting at 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM in the Manhattan Public Library Auditorium.  These classes are free to the public.  

Kinesio Taping gives support and stability to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation and range of motion.  It's non-invasive and inexpensive.

Why do we eat the way we eat? Learn about dietary choices from a panel of eater-advocates: vegan, vegetarian, lacto-vegetarian, carnivore, fair trade and more. Student of dietetics Cathy Benco and the panel will provide answers to some of the questions concerning the way we eat.

The event seeks to create a casual, open environment for people to learn about different styles of eating. It's not about defending any one lifestyle but more about learning and discussing! Please attend!
