LOCAL FOODS FAIR IN THE PARK
April 4, 2009
11-2
Long's Park in Manhattan @ 17th and Yuma
The K-State Campaign for Nonviolence is sponsoring a "Local Foods Fair in the Park" as part of the 2009 Season for Nonviolence. This season, we've been thinking about how the food economy (local and otherwise) and nonviolence are related.
To celebrate the conclusion our Season we have planned to meet in Long's Park for the Local Food Fair. We've contacted growers and producers and other community services like the Breadbasket and Prairie Land Food. The K-State Student Farm club will be there also. As well as many others!
If you provide any other service related to our event, please feel free to contact me if I haven't already contacted you! I have come to find out, there are many services and folks involved; I've had an exciting time trying to reach everyone.
So, pass the word along. Come and go. Bring you kids and your pets. Bring your wagon. Bring your bike. Play in the park! Also, don't forget to go to People's for lunch afterwards :)
